The 6 Best Parisian Hotels for Foodies in Paris

Von Vicki Denig

With international travel back in action, jetting back to Paris is at the top of many foodies’ lists. However, in the realm of where to stay, not all accommodations are created equal – and in a city as food-focused as France, choosing a hotel with an equally gastronomy-centered concept is key. Despite the global pandemic, a handful of exciting, food-centric hotels managed to open their doors during the last year and a half. Not sure where to begin? Check out a few of our favorites (plus a couple of long-standing haunts) to discover on your next trip to the City of Lights, here.

The 7 Best Parisian Hotels for Foodies in Paris

HOY Hotel Paris

Founded by Franco-Mexican hotelier Charlotte Gomez de Orozco, this boutique hotel is perfect for foodies seeking balance on their travels abroad. Located in South Pigalle, this wellness-focused hotel offers all-natural toiletries crafted by the Naked Shop in their 22 rooms, each of which is equipped with an exercise barre and charcoal-filtered water. The hotel’s on-site vegan restaurant, MESA de HOY, exclusively uses high-quality and fresh ingredients in their thoughtfully-curated small plates, which include but are not limited to carrot lox, plant-based ceviche, and a vegan twist on classic ‘Land and Sea,’ crafted with oyster mushrooms and kombucha chimichurri. The restaurant’s kitchen is spearheaded by Lauren Lovatt and Carolina Rodriguez, founders of the vegan-forward Plant Academy in London (Lovatt is also the brains behind Feed Your Mind Candy events, which focus on the correlation between nutrition and mental health). Yoga classes are offered at a discount to hotel guests, and reiki / reflexology appointments are available by reservation. The hotel also features a calming color scheme, comfortable beds, and hardwood floors. There’s even an on-site florist, should the (albeit, random) need arise.

The Hoxton

Located in Paris’ bustling Sentier neighborhood, this stunning hotel features 172 rooms of varying sizes and amenities, all located within the building’s 18th century facade. Clad with an original spiral staircase, updated marble floors, and high ceiling, the communal areas of the space are nothing short of breathtaking. Rivié, the hotel’s on-site restaurant, offers French cuisine served up with an Asian twist. The restaurant’s long hours of 7am-midnight (1am on weekends) offers plenty of opportunities for cozy breakfasts, long lunches, or snack-heavy nightcaps. For small bites, savor seasonal soups, beef carpaccio, and pink sashimi; for larger meals, don’t miss out on the Wagyu steak, seared scallops with roasted figs, or grilled miso-marinated eggplant with coriander yogurt. During summer months, enjoy the restaurant’s pop-up garden space, Jardin Étienne, named for the building’s founder, Étienne Rivié.

Hotel Les Deux Gares

Those traveling between London and Paris will appreciate the convenience of Hotel Les Deux Gares, opened as of February of last year. In addition to flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, and on-site coffee machines in each room, the space also offers a buffet breakfast and sauna. Designed by Luke Edward Hall, this brightly colored is laden with hand-painted portraits, floral designs, and the occasional animal print. Double-paned windows ensure that the hustle and bustle of the nearby stations do not find its way into your room – and for those looking for a tasty séjour, the hotel’s prime location to Paris’ ‘Little India’ (Little Jaffna) neighborhood promises a flavor-packed (and affordable) good time. Note: The eponymous café across the street offers a prix-fixé lunch for less than €25 a pop, curated by Chef Jonathan Schweizer of the Institut Paul Bocuse. Expect organic wines and seasonal dishes, such as raw tuna with apricot and spring onions and lamb shoulder with eggplant, all washed down with sweet sorbets or a classic île flottante dessert.

After much anticipation, Cheval Blanc Paris finally opened its lavish doors in summer of 2021. Boasting 72 rooms and suites, this iconic hotel finds itself equidistant from both the oeuvre and Sainte Chappelle, and is equipped with a sauna, fitness center, and panoramic terrace. Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet’s

After a long renovation, the Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet's has finally reopened its doors. For foodies who love to shop, the hotel’s location is ideal for meshing both passions alike. Tucked away between Avenue George V and the Champs-Élysées, the hotel is also a hop, skip, and a jump away from the Arc de Triomphe, and its restaurant / brasseries are perfect for people watching. In addition to two restaurants and three bars, the hotel features a spa with swimming pool and sauna, fitness center, and hammam, perfect for incorporating a bit of wellness into a long day of eating and drinking.

Enjoy a rotating prix-fixé lunch at the hotel’s eponymous restaurant Le Fouquet’s, designed in collaboration with Pierre Gagnaire (caviar options available). For a casual option, pop into Le Joy for custom cocktails spearheaded by Stéphane Ginouvès (Best Craftsman in France), and an à la carte menu of French-focused light bites prepared by Chef Raymond Nordin. On Sundays, enjoy brunch on the terrace and soak in the restaurant’s peaceful, sunny haven away from the noise of the bustling boulevard. Cocktail aficionados, don’t miss Le Bar Marta and Le Rooftop Marta, the former of which lays hidden a secret door. Expect a speakeasy-style ambiance with cozy sofas and dim lighting; for a stark contrast, head to Le Rooftop and experience what the property deems a “Dolce Vita-inspired ambiance,” equipped with orange trees, thoughtfully-crafted cocktails, and more.
