Steak Frites with Roquefort sauce

Time for steak-frites! A sumptuous cut of French fillet of beef pan-fried and topped with a rich Roquefort sauce — perfect for a simple and chic lunch! This dish is elegant enough for a special occasion yet simple enough to prepare at home.

Tips For the Perfect Steak Frites

For a perfectly cooked steak, aim for medium rare. Sear for 1-2 minutes per side then reduce heat and cook to your liking, baste with butter for extra flavor. Be sure to let it rest under foil for a few minutes so the meat will retain its juices.

For a balanced flavor, add a splash of brandy or a touch of Dijon mustard to the Roquefort sauce. Pair with roasted vegetables or a green salad to complement the rich, creamy sauce. This Beef Fillet with Roquefort Sauce is a decadent yet simple recipe perfect for French cheese lovers.
