For the second year in a row, we are incredibly excited to be a part of Taste of London from 15 to 19 June 2022 in Regent’s Park! Join us for five days of French food and wine feasting: shopping, tasting, discovering… Here’s what you’ll find at the French Epicerie & Wine Bar, nestled in a gorgeous glasshouse.
Come and say bonjour!
A French Epicerie & Wine Bar
For a chance to browse the best of French products, head straight to the French Epicerie deli. This chic farm shop – think warm cream and wooden tones meets graphic tiles – will be your one-stop destination for all things à la française, divided into dedicated areas.
The Crèmerie-Fromagerie will take care of the dairy side of things thanks to Isigny Sainte-Mère, allowing you to sample and purchase the likes of a creamy Camembert, a fruity Mimolette, all styles of French butter and more.
Last but not least, the FICT Charcuterie will be the place to be if you want to discover some of the 450 cured meat regional specialties France has on offer, and even bring some home.
After all that walking, eating and sampling around the festival, the French wine bar at the heart of the glasshouse will be your safe haven to relax, have a glass or share a bottle of French wine. It will showcase a brilliant selection of all kinds: creative Vin De France wines, sunny numbers from Côtes du Rhône, and liquid gems from the Loire Valley with Bouvet-Ladubay.
The French Summer Wine bar and talks
Our newest addition this year is the French Summer Wine Bar, with a wonderful outdoor terrace to relax. With a wide range of white and rosé wines perfect to sip on warm June evenings, it will most definitely be the place to nibble on cheese and charcuterie, with laid-back, Parisian vibes by French brothers duo The Wills, hosting DJ sets from 7 to 9pm every night.
If you want to go the extra mile and learn more about French wines, our wine experts will take you through 20-minute complimentary wine trips through the regions of beautiful France.
Wine writer, co-founder of organic wine club Little Wine and winemaker herself Christina Rasmussen will lead the way from Thursday to Saturday. The Sunday sessions will be taken care of by sommelier Honey Spencer, wine director of the Palomar galaxy (Evelyn’s Table, Palomar, Barbary) and founder of wine events company Bastarda.
Wine masterclasses run everyday from 12 to 4 pm.
Free entry on a first come, first serve basis.
Cooking demos by Sorted Food with easy French ingredients
For the lucky ones with access to the Taste of London VIP Lounge, online food community Sorted Food will present a series of cooking workshops, demonstrating easy-peasy recipes ready in 15, using simple French ingredients.
