You'll love these deliciously crunchy sweet-and-savory fritters.

Preparation

Peel the potatoes, apple, and onion. Grate all three. Squeeze the mixture in between your hands to remove as much liquid as possible. Place the mixture in a large bowl.

Rinse the chives, then chop them.

Add the eggs and flour to the bowl and mix well until you have an even consistency. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chives and mix again.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Pour the mixture into the pan with a large spoon and smooth it out to create flat rösti. Turn the rösti occasionally so that they are perfectly cooked and remove from the pan when they are golden brown and still soft on the inside.

Add a pinch of salt and serve.
